Business Reminded of Trade Waste Responsibilities

Businesses reminded of waste rules

Businesses are being reminded that they have a legal responsibility to manage their trade waste.

Companies that do not obey the law could face enforcement action from 20 November 2017, including fixed penalty notices and prosecution.

 

Govt minded to back plans for two councils   


The Secretary of State for Local Communities and Local Government, The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, has advised that he is minded to support the Future Dorset proposal for two new unitary authorities for Dorset.
 

Thank you walk leaders! 


Could you be a walk leader? An extra free one-day course will be held on 4 December to train people to become volunteer walk leaders. High levels of community spirit from those wanting to help others get healthier means the first two filled up very quickly. Thank you!   
 

Enforcement officers to the rescue! 

A man who had collapsed was helped by environmental enforcement officers.

The incident happened near Weymouth Pavilion last week (2/11), when the man who was suffering from a potentially life threating diabetic episode was discovered and helped by specialist environmental enforcement officers.
