Weymouth BID has announced that the current Manager, Nigel Reed is moving on and that the Board will be recruiting a new Manager for the role. Weymouth BID to support the Weymouth Town Centre Manager with £20,000 contribution for project delivery. WPBC’s Management Committee confirmed recently the funding of a Weymouth Town Centre Manager and referred to a £20,000 contribution from Weymouth BID. Weymouth BID will be hosting a Levy Payers Forum Meeting on Tuesday 13th June 2017 at the Royal Dorset Yacht Club from 12 noon – 07.30pm. As we know our beautiful, beach, harbour and outside eateries are often plagued by seagulls attempting to steal food from unsuspecting visitors. The seagulls often swoop down to take food from locals hands, mouths and more often than not, from small children and elderly people. A campaign has been launched to discourage people from feeding the seagulls, a practice which only acts as encouragement for seagulls to take food from humans. ‘Open For Art’ is the new signature open studio Art event for South Dorset in May 2017. Featuring more than 80 artists in over 40 venues across the area, the event has been organised voluntarily by members of the not for profit arts organisation Artwey and has been financially supported by Weymouth BID.
