SEA-ING YOU OFF IN STYLE: FAREWELL TO TAMSIN MUTTON MCKNIGHT

– Farewell and Thank You to Long-Serving Board Member Tamsin Mutton-McKnight –

We Are Weymouth, the town’s Business Improvement District (BID), bids a fond farewell to its longest-serving board member, Tamsin Mutton McKnight, who is stepping down after more than eleven years of dedicated service.

Tamsin joined the Board of Directors on 15 May 2014 and has been instrumental in helping to shape and guide the BID through more than a decade of change, challenge, and growth. Her work has touched every aspect of We Are Weymouth’s mission – from supporting local business to championing events and place-making initiatives that have drawn thousands of visitors to the town.

Now heading to Norfolk to begin a new chapter with Merlin Entertainments and the Sea Life team, Tamsin leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, sound judgement and unwavering commitment to Weymouth’s success.

Graham Perry, Chair of the Board at We Are Weymouth, said: “It is very sad to be losing Tamsin from the Board after serving over eleven years as a Director. Her good judgement, professionalism and expertise will be sorely missed. The work of all the BID directors, who serve without any remuneration, is vital to the operation of the BID and we are particularly grateful to Tamsin who has contributed immeasurably to our work during her time on the Board.”

Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer at We Are Weymouth comments: “Tamsin’s dedication and insight have left a lasting mark on Weymouth’s visitor economy. Her tireless work representing our town through the Local Visitor Economy Partnership and her support on the BID board have helped shape our priorities. Over the past 11 years, she has generously volunteered her time and expertise to the BID board, bringing invaluable insights.  I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Tamsin for five of those years, during which she also gave her time to the marketing subcommittee, playing a key role in delivering events and initiatives that have brought real value to our community. Tamsin will be greatly missed, not just on the board but across the town, and we wish her every success in her new role at Merlin Entertainments.”

We Are Weymouth thanks Tamsin for her exceptional service and wishes her all the very best in her new role.
