TRAILS, TRICKS AND TRUNK ‘N’ TREAT: WEYMOUTH GOES ALL OUT FOR HALLOWEEN

Weymouth is gearing up for its biggest Halloween season yet, with a week of trails, parades and family fun taking over the town from 24th October to 1st November 2026. Local businesses, performers and community groups have joined forces to turn the town centre into one long spooky season, culminating in a spooky parade and Trunk ‘n’ Treat the night before Halloween.

The programme mixes free family activities with ticketed live actor trail, parade, free QR- code trail and Trunk ‘n’ treat that gives local businesses and charities the chance to get involved directly, dressing shopfronts, decorating car boots and handing out treats to visiting families.

Halloween highlights include:

  • A Creepy Circus – Live Actor Trail (24th October, 10am-1pm) – a ticketed trail (£2.75pp) of live performers, sinister clowns and cryptic witch fortune tellers, starting at Primark, Weymouth Town Centre (DT4 8NS). Two versions run in 2026, one for younger children and one for older children and adults, with prizes for ticket holders who crack the Circus’s secret. Tickets can be booked via Ticket Tailor.
  • A Creepy Circus – QR Trail (25th October-1st November, 10am-6pm daily) – a free version of the trail using QR codes hidden among participating businesses between Primark and Sticks and Bones, with entries into a free prize draw for attraction tickets, vouchers and gifts.
  • Spooks by the Sea Parade and Trunk ‘n’ Treat (Friday 30th October, free) – a Halloween parade, led by spooky stilt-walkers and a ghost shop, setting off from outside The Range at 5pm, and a Trunk ‘n’ Treat at Melcombe Regis Car Park from 5.30pm-7pm with spookily decorated cars, stilt walkers, sweets, activities and food and drink to purchase. Plus face painting in the town from 10am-4pm.

As Halloween descends on Weymouth, something strange has arrived. Hidden among the town’s shops and businesses is The Creepy Circus, a mysterious travelling spectacle of petrifying performers, sinister clowns and cryptic witch fortune tellers – and once inside, visitors are trapped until they solve its secrets. Teams travel around the town centre visiting participating businesses, working through spooky riddles, tricky challenges and cryptic clues, each one revealing a piece of the Circus’s secret and guiding them closer to freedom, and to saving the town.

Local businesses and charities are also being invited to take part directly, decorating a car boot for the Trunk ‘n’ Treat and handing out sweets, activity bags or vouchers to visiting families, with a prize for the best-decorated ‘trunk’ on the night.

Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer at We Are Weymouth, said: “Halloween in Weymouth keeps growing every year, and 2026 is our biggest programme yet. From the Creepy Circus trails to the Spooky parade and Trunk ‘n’ Treat, there’s something for every age, and it’s all designed to bring people into the town centre and support the businesses that back it.

“We’re really grateful to everyone taking part – our participating businesses, performers and volunteers – who make this such a special time of year for local families.”
