The UK Beach Tour (UKBT) is delighted to announce the return of its flagship Weymouth Grand Slam, with an expanded week of competition and community engagement set to take place on Weymouth Beach from Wednesday 22nd July to Sunday 26th July 2026.
Delivered in partnership with Weymouth Volleyball Club, the event will once again bring together the UK’s top beach volleyball athletes, while introducing exciting new opportunities for the Armed Forces community, local businesses and spectators.
The week gets underway on Wednesday with the Ultra Maritime Crown Services Championships, welcoming teams from across the Armed Forces and emergency services to compete in a unique celebration of sport, teamwork and service.
On Thursday, UKBT will partner with Weymouth Round Table to deliver the Corporate Beach Volleyball Challenge, bringing together businesses from across Weymouth and Dorset for an afternoon and evening of networking, team building and friendly competition on the sand. The event has been created to strengthen links between the local business community and one of the UK’s premier sporting events, while supporting the Round Table’s ongoing work within the local community.
The festival culminates with the Ultra Maritime & We Are Weymouth UKBT Weymouth Grand Slam, taking place from Friday to Sunday. As one of the UK’s premier beach volleyball events, the Grand Slam will welcome the nation’s leading athletes to compete for ranking points, prize money and one of the sport’s most prestigious domestic titles. The tournament continues the proud tradition of the Weymouth Beach Volleyball Classic, Britain’s longest-running beach volleyball event, first established in 1983.
Ultra Maritime returns as title sponsor of the Crown Services Championships and joins We Are Weymouth as joint title sponsor of the Grand Slam, reinforcing both organisations’ commitment to supporting major sporting events that benefit the local community and showcase Weymouth as one of the UK’s leading coastal destinations.
Jake Sheaf, CEO of UK Beach Tour, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be returning to Weymouth for another fantastic week of beach volleyball. Every year the event continues to grow, and 2026 represents another major step forward with the addition of the Ultra Maritime Crown Services Championships and the continuation of the Corporate Beach Volleyball Challenge.
“We’re proud to continue working alongside Weymouth Volleyball Club, whose passion and commitment have helped make this one of the most iconic events in British beach volleyball.
“We’re also incredibly grateful to Ultra Maritime and We Are Weymouth for their support. Their investment enables us to continue growing the event and delivering an unforgettable week of beach volleyball on one of the UK’s most spectacular beaches.”
Now firmly established as one of the highlights of the UK Beach Tour calendar, the Weymouth Grand Slam attracts elite players and spectators from across the country, combining world-class competition with the unique atmosphere of Weymouth’s iconic seafront.
Lynne Fisher, Vice-Chair of the Board at We Are Weymouth comments: “We’re delighted to be backing the Grand Slam again as joint title sponsor alongside Ultra Maritime. Events like this matter to Weymouth far beyond the beach itself – they fill our hotels, restaurants and cafes during a key week of the summer, and put the town in front of a national audience as one of the best stretches of coastline in the country. With the Crown Services Championships and the Corporate Beach Volleyball Challenge now part of the week too, this has grown into something that touches the whole community, not just the volleyball world.”
